Where Sunday dinner happens every day
Sunday is the next project brought to you by the creators of PinkFish Seafod Bistro. Sunday is founded by Nakeisha Cummings, Antonio Cummings Sr., and Raymond Cummings Jr. Sunday aspires to provide the community with a place to gather and congregate over good food and atmosphere. Sunday hopes to capture the feeling of going to grandma's house after church, where there was sure to be a hot meal on the stove to feed not only your belly but your soul.
Executive Chef, Nakeisha Cummings, has decades of experience in the culinary industry and a lifetime of experience in the kitchen. She is educated in various cuisines but has been cooking since she was knee high. While her roots are based in Baltimore-Style seafood, her southern inspirations shine throughout Sunday’s menu.
Sous Chef Antonio “Tony” Cummings Sr. also has decades of experience in the kitchen. As a self-taught chef, Tony has worked meticulously to hone his craft and is well versed in a variety of cuisines. Tony’s love for various cuisines shines throughout the menu, most notable in some of our dishes that take inspirations from different cuisines.
Sunday makes every effort to source our ingredients from local minority vendors whenever possible. Sundays is not only black owned but is also female owned. With this in mind, it is important that we seek to give back to the community in every way possible. Sunday seeks to provide opportunities for employment to those who have been previously incarcerated. Sunday truly believes that everyone is entitled to a second chance and is proud to help support all members of our community.
Jeremiah 29:11 is more than a bible verse at Sunday, it is one of our guiding philosophies. We hope to continue to help the community work towards a better future, one filled with hope and prosperity. We hold fast to God’s promise and trust in his plan. We truly believe that food is more than just sustenance for the physical body, but a way to soothe and nourish the souls of all who grace our table.
